Abstract:
The scope of this study is the analysis of the nationalism of Cyprus as a colony and as an Independent republic. The manifestations of nationalism are traced from the 19th century to the present. The emphasis has been placed upon the enumeration and discussion of crucial and pivotal events in Cyprus's recent history, and the men who influenced their results. Through an examination of Cyprus's nationalism, a better understanding can be acquired of the current complexities of the Republic of Cyprus, and of its future prospects.
