Abstract:
This is a study which seeks to explain the growth factors in the Bridgeport Labor Market Area. The study examines the changing structure of employment and the resultant changing structure of earnings from the employment. The employment structure is examined as it changes in a relationship to changes in total employment. Changes in earnings are related to employment data through regression analysis. Employment and earnings changes are generally reflective of one another. Furthermore the study constructs a model which will, for the short term, predict the level of income for the area.
