Abstract:
Foreign banks presently are operating in the United States essentially unregulated by law or governmental agency. Their numbers are increasing yearly. Clearly, various implications are imminent. What advantages do foreign banks have compared with U.S. banks? What is the impact on the economy? This paper will discuss these issues and similar ones, focusing on those that are most apropos to the management of a regional bank's international department.
