Abstract:
This study intends to measure student life change over the past year, using the Life Change Inventory (LCI) and correlate it with two psychological measures I the Psychological Screening Inventory (PSI) and the Profile of Mood States (POMS). It will test the hypothesis that excessive life change correlates with undesirable scores on the personality and mood measures. Specifically, it will investigate whether socially desirable life events correlate with undesirable personality and mood scores. Secondary to the main investigation, the LCI will be studied to see if there are sex differences in average scores, and if it contains significantly more socially desirable or more undesirable questions.
