This is the January 28, 1982 Vol. 1, No. 15 issue of the Scribe. The cover story about consideration for a possible Toad's Place club being placed in Bridgeport was not the most important story. The UB SCBOD (Student Center Board of Directors) is going to co-produce a Hall & Oates concert with Cross Country Concerts for an event at the New Haven Coliseum with the opening act of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Additionally, Eileen O’Casey, wife of the late Irish playright Sean O’Casey, addressed a gathering in the Recital Hall but also the article commented on the recent lack of lecturers that had come to UB.
