Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to look at current research in the field of Neurofeedback and its use in the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. This is not a new field and there are hundreds of papers currently reviewing and researching this topic. This is yet another, reviewing the efficacy of this type of treatment. The research seems to support that Neurofeedback is a useful tool in the treatment of ADHD. It is a targeted treatment that can have powerful effects for some. The treatment can also be individualized to the person’s type of ADHD. It also has no side-effects, which is a nice alternative to some of the medications available. The efficacy is not across the board, in symptoms or manifestations of ADHD however. It can also be time consuming and expensive.
