This is the Scribe for April 22, 1982, vol. 1, No. 26. The main story is the Benezet commission announcing a recommendation for a proposed merger between the University of New Haven and the University of Bridgeport. The cover of the paper also announces a play by Chekov titled the Seagull. The commission completed a six month study on this proposal and it would be in the hands of the Board of Trustees for both schools to move forward.
