Abstract
Presently, Multiple Sclerosis is considered to be an autoimmune disorder. The myelin sheath is thought to be attacked by the body’s own immune system leading to many neurological effects. Conventional medicine has mostly used immune suppressing drugs to treat this disorder, but all drugs have side effects that can be even more deadly than the disorder itself. The purpose of this paper is to determine if there are truly safe and effective natural ways to prevent and treat multiple sclerosis. This paper demonstrates that there are many natural ways to prevent and treat multiple sclerosis. For example, prevention and treatments include heavy metal chelation, using lipoic acid, fish oil, quercetin, curcumin, DHEA, cannabis, Horse chestnut and Gotu kola, but perhaps the one single most important way to prevent multiple sclerosis is through the intake of adequate amounts of vitamin D during pregnancy and throughout one’s life. CCSVI and Centella in combination were only somewhat touched upon in this research paper, but may have an important link to the development and progression of this disorder.
