Abstract
A "management information system" is the means that provides the management of an organization with the information which it needs in order to carry out its decision-making function on a timely basis. In order to effectively implement such a system, certain basic steps must be followed which include obtaining top-level support and using competent personnel for the systems effort. The changes that result from the implementation of the new system can also result in the creation of certain other problems.
