Abstract
A frank reckoning with what happened at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, has been problematized by the question of what to call the event: a riot, an insurrection, an assault, a protest, an attempted coup, a terrorist act. But thinking about it as a zombie attack seems largely justified by the evidence, leading to the question of what it could possibly mean – how it could possibly be – that zombies have managed to burst out of their imaginational confines and to storm our reality.
