Abstract
The purpose of this project is to plan, layout and build an Arduino-based functional security system. The point of the system is to protect a desired area by flashing a bright light and taking a picture when an unauthorized person enters the area. The ideal function of the security system is to refer to the database of faces prior to allowing or denying access. Also, we plan on using the Firebase platform to enable IOT connectivity so the system can notify the user. The project has been implemented and its proposed functions are verified. More features could be added into the system to further enhance its online connectivity and face-recognition capability.
