Abstract

The premise of this poster is to understand the causes of juvenile delinquency as viewed through three specific criminological theories: Social Control Theory, Social Learning Theory, and Labeling Theory. These theoretical explanations are also known as Social Process Approach in Criminology. This poster also analyzes the relevance of the researchers who proposed theories and how they impacted the Criminal Justice world. Lastly, the poster focuses on the effectiveness of prevention and rehabilitation methods, and what the government has done to deter juvenile delinquency.
