Abstract

This paper was developed to illustrate an application of academic skills which were acquired at the University of Bridgeport's Graduate School of Business Administration, and to practice some of the experience accumulated during a decade of involvement in the development of automation systems. This experience created the basis of an analysis of the problems related to the acquisition of automation equipment and provided assistance to an approach which helps decreasing the risk usually associated with special purpose machinery development.
