Description
This is the 1961 edition of Genesis, reflects the contributions of participant students from the University of Bridgeport Pre-College Science Center. The event took place between June 25 and August 12 and is described as follows, "The University of Bridgeport Pre-College Science Center, one of many Science Centers held throughout the country, is a seven week program designed to emphasize selected areas of the natural sciences for the benefit of high school students of markedly high ability. The program is funded by grants that enable gifted high-school students to attend a summer-based program. By providing the necessary facilities and guidance for rigorous study, the Center hopes to accomplish its objectives of searching for and cultivating scientific talent and stimulating and encouraging interest in the sciences."
