Description
A busy month for the UB bulletin with ten issues published, from 10/1 to 10/31. The popular musical "1776" was presented by the UB Music department and the Masque and Mime Theatre Foundation of New York. It was preformed at the Merten's Theater 10/3 to 10/5. President Miles announced tht the college of fine arts was formed, including the art, music and theater/cinema departments. Dr. James T. Hamilton, director of graduate studies was named acting dean. "Knights of the Round Table" a UB Theater production, one of several big productions scheduled for the fall/winter season, was scheduled for October 17-19 & October 24-26. The UB community was saddened by the sudden passing of Professor Francis X. DiLeo, Dean of the College of Business Administration on October 15. Ralph Nader spoke at the Mertens Theater on 10/29 . His address was titled "Environmental Hazards: Man-Made and Man-Remedied."
