Several grants were announced in the January UB Bulletins of which there were four and one Professional Activities release. The Andrew Mellon Foundation awarded a $500K grant to UB for liberal arts programs and the Exxon Education Foundation announced a $74K grant to assist with a 2-year computerized program information system. both grants gave the University opportinuties to further develop efficiencies and academic progress. Dr. Harold W. See the "Benton Professor of International and Higher Education" and a senior academic administrator of UB, spoke on the 25th of January about wasteful duplication of UN personnel and agencies.
