Description
A variety of interesting events took place during March of 1972 with seven issues of the UB bulletin produced from March 2 to March 23. The UB Basketball team received a bid to the NCAA New England tournament to take place March 10-11. President Manning announced that the board of Trustee approved a proposal for construction of an eight-story new library building for $7.5M, the largest capital investment project to date at UB. On March 6, the 21st Frank Jacoby Lecture featured US Representative Herman Badillo, (the 1st Representative from Puerto Rico). Ground-breaking for the new proposed library took place on 3/15. The University Players presented "Fiddler on the Roof" at the University Theater from March 16-19.
