Abstract

The study investigated the prevalence and effect of cannabis consumption on the well-being of elderly individuals and teenagers in the United States. A comprehensive literature analysis was undertaken to determine the effects of cannabis consumption on oral health. The findings revealed that cannabis has the potential to influence the oral microbiota and elevate the susceptibility to oral ailments .The primary oral health consequences linked to cannabis consumption and emphasized the necessity for dental practitioners to include inquiries about drug usage in the patient's medical records. The significance of this matter lies in the potential long term effects of cannabis consumption on dental health, necessitating orthodontists to possess knowledge regarding these hazards and implement measures to alleviate them.
