Abstract

Fire and gas hazards pose significant risks to safety and property. This project develops an advanced Fire and Gas Detection System using an Arduino microcontroller with IR and MQ-135 gas sensors. The system detects fire and gas leaks, alerting users via LED and buzzer signals while displaying real-time sensor data on a serial monitor. The integration of hardware and software enhances detection accuracy while reducing false alarms. Its modular design allows additional sensors and future upgrades like mobile app integration. A hybrid approach using precise sensor readings and machine learning-based threshold adjustments enhances safety across various applications.
