Abstract

A gripper is a device that aids in the interaction with objects, most commonly as picking up, holding, and transporting. This project aimed to design a functioning set of grippers for the Niryo Robot Arm. The grippers targeted picking up and placing a round-shaped object. The grippers were designed using CAD software SolidWorks. Topology optimization was then used to find the optimized shaped to reduce the weight of the grippers without compromising the functions.
