One of several photos depicting Dick Gregory and William F. Buckley meeting for a debate as guests of the eighth annual Dr. and Mrs. James H. Halsey Symposium. The theme of the debate was titled "the Role of Evolution and Revolution in Achieving and Preserving a Free Society." This photo illustrates some camaraderie between the two debaters. Four years earlier both participants had met on Mr. Buckley's Firing Line Television program.
