Abstract
The problem of cost minimization in a multiplant operation is a complex one involving many cost factors and operations restrictions. This paper is a study of an inventory and production control problem in a soft drink company with a recommended solution in the form of a flexible computer program and encompasses key cost and operating factors, wherein such factors can be changed or expanded in the light of knowledge gained from future experience.
