Description
This is the March 8, 2001 issue of the Scribe Vol. 8, No. 10 (Generation II) which reports that the UN President of the General Assembly, Harri Holkeri of Finland came to UB to speak about the necessity “to open the United Nations to civil society at large and have continued and anced dialogue with academic communities.” Former UN President Theo-Ben Gurirab, came to the University to speak in the preceding year. Another front page article reported concern abou t the Industrial Design program when Professor Jim Lesko did not receive tenure. It was also reported that on February 27, Reverend Sun Myung Moon made a stop at the University as a part of a speaking tour.
