This is a booklet with a date reference in the "personal word" from President James Halsey of May 1948. It is a 40 page booklet that reflects some of the history of the university, the role that it plays, being coeducational and privately controlled. there are references to the Junior college of Connecticut and overall seems to be a marketing booklet for further expansion of the University's purpose in the Bridgeport community, noting scholastic recognition and standards.
