Abstract
Every DP system should be examined to insure that it has adequate controls and balancing procedures. Controls for a DP system include controls related to both the internal and external environment. Balancing procedures include both the mechanical and manual operations which will assure the system is in balance. This thesis has been prepared to outline and explain basic controls and balancing procedures to use when analyzing a DP system.
