Abstract

This paper is a critical appraisal of the criteria that govern a capital investment plan under varying economic conditions, with emphasis on developed and emerging economies of the U.S.A. and India respectively. Findings of the investigation lead to a concept of "business logistics," an adaptation of the integrated logistics usually a tool of the military systems. A matrix has been subsequently developed to facilitate the choice of appropriate alternatives, with the necessary modifications.
