Abstract

This thesis examines the external and internal information needs of a commercial bank. Relevant data processing technologies are discussed. Processing needs and technologies are then merged in a "blueprint" for a computer network information system suited to commercial banks, but applicable to many corporate information processing environments. The analysis is based on technical evidence, but written for nontechnical management. The intention is to assist corporate planners in assessing current and future information processing investments.
