Description
A very busy month for the arts is reflected in this grouping of nine issues of the UB Bulletin from April 3rd to April 27th. The dedication of the Arnold Berhard Arts and Humanities Center took centerstage on April 5th with a convocation by Joseph Verner, director of the American Shakespeare Theater. Albert Dickason former director of dramatic productions at UB was named the 1st director of the Arts center. Multiple artistic events and performances took place throughout the month from the Bela Bartok choir performance on 4/9, a preformance by Israeli pianist David Bar-Illam on 4/22 and a modern dance ensemble performance on 4/19. An open house for the center took place on 4/21 hosted by Mr. Dickason. Other campus event included a fashion show by fashion merchadising student on 4/19 and Dr. albert Schmidt being named Dean of the college of Arts and Sciences effective July 1st.
