Abstract

Coaching has grown to a 25B industry, with business coaching a fast-growing segment. Growth in the coaching industry is reflective of the efficacy and acceptance of the coaching process. An important segment of business coaching is enabling better verbal and written communication through practice and constructive feedback. Al has the potential to make coaching more accessible to more people to help them achieve their goals. This research explores how Al can help students and young professionals become better prepared to communicate in a professional setting. The research focuses on one Al Tool, Edy, and its ability to help improve oral communication skills. The primary goal of this research is to develop a methodology that could be used to test the efficacy of Al in business communication. A secondary goal for the research is to understand the acceptance of the recommendations and the impact on the efficacy. The value of Al in behavioral intervention coaching could be extended to other areas of coaching as Al improves and clients become more comfortable.
