This is the November 15, 2001 edition of the Scribe, Vol. 9, No. 6. On the front page was a story on that evening's memorial for Professor George Blake, Director of the Division of Basic Studies & Director of the School of General Studies who passed in the past year as a result of cancer, and was much beloved in the UB community. In UB sports the UB Men's soccer team ended the season as Co-Champions in the NYCAC conference going undefeated in conference play, ranked 20th in the nation overall in Division II, placed 2nd in the Northeast Region rankings, and made it into the finals of the ECAC tournament.
