A busy month with eight editions of the bulletin. Physicist Dr. Peter Goldmark spoke at the Science Wall of Honor in honor of Rudolph Hertz whose work lead to the development of radio broadcasting and was the 34th addition to the Wall of Honor. Professor Dick Allen was awarded the "Union League Civic and Arts Foundation" prize for poetry given annually by Poetry Magazine for four science fiction themed poems. A report by the President's Commission on Campus Unrest indicated that UB falls into a category not likely to produce Campus unrest. In the November 13 issue is the announcement that Thurston E. Manning will be appointed as the 4th President of the University. David Amram, composer, conductor and jazz musician will be honored with a three day festival with events to be held in the Alumni Hall.
