Abstract

The goal of this project is to design a system where user can create, save and share specific geographic location identities (GEOLOIDs). We are defining the interactive engagement fabric of the global digital ecosystem which facilitates users in viewing locations and identifying LATLOCs (Latitude Longitude Convergence Point). This information collected on a certain LATLOC is called a GEOLOID (Geographic Location Identity). Our system and method are intended for constructing, saving, modifying, and sharing user defined GEOLOID data sets or files without the requirements of actively being tracked. To assist with retrieving LATLOCs, we built a small handheld device with a touch screen that would display a map of your current location. When touching on the screen, the user would be able to select their desired location point and send that into the appand where they can save, share or delete the point. We would like the location finder process be more user friendly by combining the physical ecosystem and digital ecosystem.
