In 2023 the global cost of cybercrime was estimated to surpass $11 trillion. Cyber attack is a primary concern for businesses large and small. According to the IBM Cost of a Data Breach Report (2023), the global average cost of a data breach in 2023 was $4.45 million and in the United States, the average cost of a data breach to a US organization reached $ 9.48 million. Currently, traditional cybersecurity methods struggle to keep pace with evolving Al-augmented cyber threats. Appropriate countermeasures must include integrating the strengths of Al. Al can play a crucial role in addressing the challenges of cybersecurity by enhancing detection, prevention response, and recovery capabilities through a combination of anomaly detection, machine learning, and behavioral theory.
