As a part of the Town-Gown series, Gloria Steinem visited the UB campus to speak on matters relevant to the Women's Liberation Movement and conduct a workshop highlighting issues and concerns relating to the current status of women in American society. Additionally, with Ms. Steinem, Ms. Dorothy Pitman, founder and director of a community-controlled day care center in New York City addressed the need for quality day care for today's modern woman.
