This economic case study presents the problems institutions of higher learning face in projecting accurately expected enrollments so as to achieve the utmost utilization of their facilities. It presents and illustrates in detail a method for forecasting new enrollments as they affect the academic programs offered. It concentrates on private institutions of higher learning and delineates the economic implications which make it necessary for these institutions to maintain their positions in a highly competitive market.
