The Public Health Legacy Continues: Fones Impacts Bridgeport Community Through Teledentistry

Abstract

Post Covid-19 pandemic, it has been increasingly difficult for the public to access reasonable dental hygiene care. Teledentistry is an emerging field that utilizes telecommunications technology to provide dental care remotely. Through a grant provided by the City of Bridgeport American Rescue Plan Grant Fund, students from the University of Bridgeport Fones Dental Hygiene School has allowed students to treat patients who otherwise would not be able to access affordable care.
