Norman Cousins visited the UB campus several times in the early to mid 1960s. On November 14, 1962, he participitated in an address to discuss contemporary world issues at a convocation sponsored by the student group, the Student League for Human rights. On May 30, 1965, Mr Cousins, who was also a journalist, an author, and editor of the Saturday Review, received an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Law, from the University at the 45th Graduate Commencement.
