Abstract

Antisemitism on college campuses in the United States has been an ongoing issue for decades, and recent unrest in the Middle East has contributed to a significant rise in antisemitic incidents. Data indicate notable increases across multiple categories, including reported experiences and perceptions of antisemitism among students. Addressing antisemitism is essential to ensuring students’ educational success, mental health, and physical well-being. This research provides a historical overview of Jewish participation in higher education, documents patterns of discrimination and exclusion within institutions of higher learning, examines the current challenges faced by Jewish students, and highlights the impact of antisemitism on campus climates. The study concludes by offering recommendations for institutions to address antisemitism through targeted campus initiatives and strengthened community partnerships.
