Another busy month in the UB community resulted in nine issues of the UB Bulletin being published with one Professional Activities item from 10/2 - 10/30. UB announced an extension branch opening in Stamford with five graduate level programs offered. UB President Manning was elected chairman of the board of the Higher Education Center for Urban Studies. Hungarian film star, Lili Darvas, was honored during a benefit for the Hungarian Graduate Scholarship fund ater the premiere of the film "Love". The Tennessee Williams play, Camino Real, was presented 10/11 to 10/14 at the Mertens theater. UB President Thurston Manning announced his resignation in the coming year. a month long film festival on the topic of death started on 10/11 with the initial showing of the U.S. film, "the Pawnbroker." Finally, the artist in residence, Rita Hassan blue passed on 10/16. She was very active in the NY Theater world and was artist in residence for the past five years.
