Abstract

The financial interpretation of the multinational corporation has always been a problem for the financial community. Worldwide foreign exchange rate fluctuations and the application ' of various accounting techniques, have sometimes distorted the economic value of the firm Currently, the accounting profession has issued a new technique required to be practiced by all U.S. multinationals. Unless, the financial analyst and the management of the multinational understand the accounting and economic implications of this new policy, the financial value of the firm may be seriously impaired.
