This is the May 3, 2001 Vol. 8 No. 13 issue of the Scribe. On page 3 it was announced that Professor Dick Allen would be retiring. Professor Allen in addition to his full load of courses has written, edited, and reviewed dozens of books and was known as UB's Poet Laureate helping to create and helm Groundswell the UB Literary Publication.
