Abstract
The purpose of this study is to devise a method for determining demand for process-oriented machinery. The study shows that the cost of a particular process can vary widely depending on specific operating characteristics of the machinery used in the process. An analysis of machinery used in the rubber compounding process is presented as an example to show the usefulness of the method of analysis presented in this paper.
