Abstract
This project designed, analyzed, built, and tested an electromechanical height-adjustable mechanism for a conventional office chair. This mechanism enables those with disabilities and limited mobility to be able to periodically adjust the height of the office chair, without having to get up and potentially strain ligaments that may be affected by a medical condition. The team has designed an electromechanical system using a DC motor driven linear actuator that can be added to any office chair.
